A new way to support isolated carers

The Caring for Carers of People with Dementia Project has been designed for isolated carers and is a chat-based six-week group program that participants can join via videoconferencing from home.

The program will be taking registrations from carers who would like to participate in the free videoconference support groups until Tuesday 23 April 2019.

Carers can register to participate pm the Central Queensland University Australia website.

Please note:

  • Carers do not have to stop any existing groups they belong to in order to participate in our free six week videoconferencing support program.
  • Feedback from participants has been positive and many have continued to meet online after the project.
  • We have IT staff to assist participants who need help to download and use the zoom videoconference program.
  • People can use their own computer, tablet or smart phone to participate.
