Expression of Interest: Alcohol and Other Drugs – Building General Practice Capacity
Do you want to build staff knowledge, skills, and confidence in providing care to people with alcohol and other drug related health concerns?
Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) is currently recruiting three general practices to participate in the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Primary Care Pilot Project
It is anticipated that engagement in the project will require an average of 2 x hours per week for the period from March 2021 – June 2021. Engagement in the project provides you with the opportunity to inform and advise GCPHN as to how we can best support general practices in relation to identification, screening, management, and referral options for their patients with AOD concerns. Additionally, you will also increase awareness and access to local alcohol and drug services.
This AOD capacity building initiative includes co-design sessions with practice staff to identify and plan strategies to increase knowledge, skills and screening of AOD issues into existing work practices, so you can optimise your support for patients with AOD related health concerns.
Remuneration is available for successful practices and may support some elements of the requirements for the Practice Incentive Payment for Quality Improvement (PIP QI).
Please register your interest and complete the registration form below based on the selection criteria outlined in the EOI document.
The deadline for application submission is: 4pm, Friday 26 February 2021. All applications will be informed of the outcome of the EOI by email.
Questions regarding the process may be addressed to Natasha van Bruggen by email natashav@gcphn.com.au or phone (07) 5612 5471.
