A grace period has been introduced until 30 September 2021 that will allow patients to continue to receive CTG prescriptions even if they are not currently registered, as long as a CTG annotated prescription is presented.
From 1 October 2021, all Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons will need to be registered for the Program through Services Australia to be eligible for CTG prescription. For more information visit the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and Services Australia webpages.
