If you have any respiratory/cold/flu-like symptoms, such as cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny/stuffy nose, fatigue or lack of taste or smell or a range of other symptoms, including vomiting, nausea or diarrhoea, you should get tested for COVID-19.
If you have symptoms, no matter how mild, stay home, don’t go to work, school or the shops, and get tested as quickly as possible. There are a number of COVID-19 testing options on the Gold Coast and it is important that you get tested, to ensure you get the care you need and to stop the spread to your family or to the community.
If you want to know more about the testing process, Queensland Health also has useful information for you and your family.
With the recent COVID outbreaks this is an ever changing situation and testing facilities may change their hours accordingly. Please check their online booking system for current hours or contact them directly.
Please be aware that GP Respiratory Clinics currently have approval to conduct targeted asymptomatic testing on patients self-presenting for COVID-19 testing who have visited Victoria, Greater Sydney, and/or any of the listed high-risk venues.
Please note this temporary arrangement date has now been extended and is in place until 31 January 2021.
Testing at Respiratory Clinics is free and no GP referral is required, however patients must make an appointment before attending. Please contact clinics to book your appointment (see below for clinic details).
