Gold Coast Health has set up free swabbing stations in tourist areas, operating from 9am to 5pm, seven days a week, for visitors and the community, to test for COVID-19.
Minister Miles said the clinics, which are also being rolled out across Queensland, are part of a testing blitz targeting transient groups like tourists and truck drivers to ensure anyone and everyone with symptoms are being tested.
“We know that one of the most important things everyone can do to help in the fight against COVID-19 is to get tested immediately if they have any symptoms, no matter how mild, which include fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, lack of taste or smell, and fatigue,” Mr Miles said.
Please note the other pop-up clinics that were previously listed are currently not operational.
