It has been advised that to improve the exchange of clinical documents between organisations, Electronic Discharge Summaries (EDS) are now available in Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) format. eHealth Queensland are encouraging practices to sign up for the new CDA format which includes pathology and radiology results.

What is required to get CDA format?
Practices will need to be using the necessary compatible software versions and be enabled in the Queensland Health Secure Transfer Service (STS) system to receive discharge summaries electronically.
