Gold Coast Child Health Network (GCCHN), is a newly formed group for clinicians working in primary care with an interest in paediatric care. We welcome general practitioners (including registrars), practice nurses, child health nurses and all allied health professionals.
The group primarily has a focus on education and shared peer group learning, but also may become a resource for the broader community to identify clinicians with an interest in caring for children.
Meetings are planned to occur every two months from 6pm-8pm at the Gold Coast Primary Health Network office in Robina. One hour will be allocated to discussion of interesting or challenging cases, and one hour allocated to discussion with a local specialist/clinician with expertise in a topic of interest to the group.
The first meeting will be held on Thursday 11 August, 6-8pm. Dr Carla Morley, local paediatrician at Gold Coast University Hospital and Leading Steps Paediatrics, will join us to discuss “Recurrent illness in children, how many is too many?”
Please bring along your tips, resources, questions, and any interesting or challenging cases (deidentified). Meetings are eligible for RACGP self-recorded CPD points and there is no cost to attend.
Pizza and tea and coffee will be provided. Places are limited.
