The GoldNet Research Network is pleased to invite you to the upcoming research networking event held at Bond University. GoldNet Research Network invite you to join in on the discussion on the current evidence & practical strategies to reduce the impact of antimicrobial resistance.

The focus of this event will be Antimicrobial Stewardship. You’ll hear from researchers and clinicians with practice-based research and clinical experience about projects completed and active in general practice. Attendees will gain a national and UK perspective on AMS, and the challenges general practice faces especially since the pandemic and the advent of telehealth.

Presentations on Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) 

Presenters:

• Professor Alastair Hay will present “Antibiotic resistance: can it be stopped?” providing effective primary care AMS strategies implemented in the UK, facilitators and barriers to its implementation, other potential solutions, role of public health campaigns and other diagnosis improvements in primary care.
• Professor Paul Glasziou will present on an Australia-perspective of AMS.

• Professor Gerben Keijzers – Senior Staff Specialist Emergency Physician, Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, and Adjunct Professor in Emergency Medicine, Bond University
• Professor Alastair Hay – General Practitioner, Professor of Primary Care and NIHR Senior Investigator, University of Bristol
• Professor Paul Glasziou – Professor of Evidence-Based Practice at Bond Uni and the Director of the Institute for Evidence Based Healthcare
