Gold Coast Primary Health Network, in partnership with Wound Specialist Services, invites staff working in residential aged care facilities to participate in a Leg Ulcers: Causes, Treatment and Prevention workshop.
Lower leg ulcers are a common problem and can be difficult to recognise and treat. This workshop is designed to enhance your capacity to assess, treat and prevent leg ulcers in the aged care setting.
This event will be held at Robina Community Centre in the Auditorium.

9:45am – 10:00am – Morning Tea and Trade Display
10:00am – 10:30am – Practical assessment techniques
10:30am – 11:00am – Practical treatment strategies (skin & wound care, dressing selection)
11:00am – 12:00pm – Practice session – compression therapy
12:00pm – 12:15pm – Summary and Evaluation
12:15pm – 1:00 pm – Lunch and Trade display
