Update from Dr Roger Halliwell – Chair of Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) Board
After three years as the Chair of GCPHN, I have handed the baton to Dr Lisa Beecham, a colleague and friend that will lead the board supervision of our organisation.
As I reflect on the challenges of the last almost 3 years, I am grateful for the wise counsel of my fellow directors, for the leadership of GCPHN by our very capable CEO Matt Carrodus, and for the team he leads that have pivoted and continued their important work in the face of the pandemic restrictions.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the GPs and RNs who have supported the supervision of our Medical and Nursing student programs in 2022. Thank you for contributing your expertise to the development of the healthcare community, which will help sustain the ongoing growth of the GP and RN workforce.
I have another year as a director before my “time is up” and will continue to help guide the organisation.
To all the GPs, their staff, allied health provider teams, and our commissioned service providers, thank you for working with GCPHN, we are absolutely passionate across the multiple dimensions of work which will continue into the future.
Roger Halliwell
Director
