Gold Coast Primary Health Network would like to introduce Klair Carney, Indigenous Health Project Officer (IHPO) at Kalwun.
Klair has extensive experience in the Gold Coast community, having previously worked assisting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people apply for and navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS.) As the IHPO for Kalwun, Klair is available to assist Gold Coast general practices by:
Supporting development of relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and health practitioners
Educating on how to conduct 715 Health Assessments in a culturally appropriate manner
Providing tools to deliver culturally safe services in a culturally safe environment
Providing Cultural Awareness training
