Managing your NASH PKI certificate details

Healthcare providers and supporting organisations use the National Authentication Service for Health (NASH) to securely access and share health information.

Renewing Certificates

NASH PKI Certificates expire two years from the date of issue and you will need to request a new NASH PKI certificate when the expiry date is close. The Department of Human Services (DHS) will send a reminder before your certificate expires, however you can renew your NASH PKI Certificate via HPOS/PRODA. Please ensure that you go through PRODA directly via the DHS website rather than via an internet search engine.

PRODA/HPOS

  • HI Service – application to replace a responsible officer or add or remove an organisation maintenance officer for an organisation form (HW040): still required to be completed for change in ownership.
  • HI Service – application to amend a healthcare organisation record form (HW037): still required to be completed for change in ownership.
  • Request to revoke or reissue a NASH PKI certificate form (HW083): Still available for those with certificates on a physical token (only for revoking).
  • Application to request a National Authentication Service for Health Public Key Infrastructure Certificate for Healthcare Provider Organisations (HW021): No longer available on the DHS website.
