From 1 October 2023, patients will be able to register for MyMedicare, a new voluntary registration model that aims to strengthen the relationship between patients, their general practice, general practitioner, and primary care teams to provide greater continuity of care.
Part of this process for them to register under your practice is to demonstrate an existing relationship with their practice and GP. For most this means patients will have had at least two face-to-face visits at your practice in the previous 24 months. Learn more here.
It’s important to remember that patients won’t be able to register for your practice unless you have registered your practice first.
If you need assistance with practice registration, please contact practicesupport@gcphn.com.au and we’ll help you get set up.
A reminder Registration in MyMedicare is voluntary for patients, practices, and providers.
