This target is required to achieve the “herd immunity” which is necessary to minimise the impact of vaccine preventable disease for children in our communities.
Increasing immunisation coverage is a priority for GCPHN and in response to the concerning rates, we encourage primary healthcare providers to consider utilising newly developed resources, such as the Childhood Vaccination QI Toolkit and prefilled QI Action Plan for a self-paced QI activity with the aim to increased immunisation coverage across the region.
