People with lived experience of disability can now nominate to be a member of the Queensland Disability Advisory Council (QDAC).
The Queensland Government is seeking eight individuals with lived experience of disability to join the council for a three-year term from 1 July 2022.
The council plays a vital role in providing expert advice on matters that shape disability policy in Queensland and promote a more inclusive state for all Queenslanders.
Four key representatives from the disability sector will make up the remaining positions in the 12-member council. Council members can expect to have a say on a range of disability policies, actions and issues.
QDAC is part of the Queensland Government’s commitment to work collaboratively with people with disability to improve opportunities for people with disability, their families and carers.
