Unit code: PPDIV005 (Determine and communicate immunisation needs for Influenza vaccination). This unit applies to the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to administer Influenza vaccinations. The major focus of this unit is on understanding the recommendations and administration requirements for Influenza vaccine, the rationale for vaccination and supporting an individual’s decision-making process.
Available to: registered and enrolled nurses, GPs and others on application. A minimum of three months employment or experience working with clients in primary healthcare is required.
Unit code: ISPSIV004 (Support immunisation needs for influenza vaccination of clients). This unit applies to the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to support vaccination recommendations for Influenza vaccine. The major focus of this unit is on understanding the unique immunisation requirements for influenza vaccine and completing relevant processes to support vaccination.
Available to: practice assistants – practice managers, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners and others on application. A minimum of three months employment or experience working with clients in primary healthcare if required.
Both units take approximately one hour to complete.
