Plan for the best during National Advance Care Planning Week
Important life choices are planned, not left to chance.
National Advance Care Planning Week 2021 (22-26 March) is an annual initiative by Advance Care Planning Australia that encourages all Australians, regardless of their age or health status, to make their future health care preferences known.
With an ageing population, advance care planning is becoming an increasing priority for both the community and health sector. As it currently stands less than 15% of Australians have documented their preferences in an Advance Care Directive, despite the fact that almost 50% of people will be too unwell to make their own end-of-life decisions.
National Advance Care Planning Week is the perfect time to start the conversation about what’s important to you and your loved ones and to consider your and their future care preferences.
