This is a limited supply for allied health professionals who undertake work in such a way that they are in proximity to a patient for potential exposure to respiratory or oral secretions. This deployment of masks is intended for use only when services cannot be delayed for a symptomatic patient. PPE does not replace the need for modifications to practice such as telehealth and physical distancing. If a practitioner is unwell, they should not see patients.
