This webinar will provide an update on clinical approaches to bleeding and bruising, as well as focus on iron management in general practice. It will include how these issues present in general practice, diagnostic considerations and will also outline the role of GPs in caring for patients with related underlying haematological disorders.
Bruising and bleeding are common presentations in our communities and GPs are exposed to these issues regularly. Knowledge of the various aspects of the clinical assessment is vitally important in assisting a correct diagnosis to be made and therefore, to be managed correctly. Many patients also present with symptoms of, or test results confirming high or low iron levels. A key general practice responsibility is assessing and managing high/low iron conditions.
