My Health Record lets you control your health information securely, in one place. This means your important health information is available when and where it’s needed, including in an emergency.

On 26 November 2018, the Australian Parliament passed legislation to strengthen privacy protections in My Health Records Act 2012 without debate or division. For those who decide they no longer want one, it can be cancelled at any time. The information in your record, including any backups, will be permanently deleted from the system.
