Cultural Awareness Training – Turning good intentions into culturally safe practice
The Improving Indigenous Access to Mainstream Primary Care Program provides engagement and education support to mainstream practices within the region including delivering cultural awareness training to enhance the cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people attending mainstream primary healthcare services.
Training will cover:
Completion of this training meets the Practice Incentive Program (PIP) Indigenous Health Incentive Requirement. Additionally, IUIH now has the availability to facilitate RACGP accredited in-house TGIICS training.
Completing an external Audit (PDSA – Plan, Do, Study, Act) contributes 5 CPD Measuring Outcome hours, forming a package of the total advertised CPD Hours.
