The RACGP Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) GP Education Program has been developed to help GPs to support patients experiencing AOD related problems.
Members can access AOD Essential Skills online training, discuss AOD cases with their peers on Thursday evenings, or apply for Treatment Skills or Advanced Skills Training. Treatment Skills and Advanced Skills Training attracts a completion payment, rewarding GPs for upskilling in treatment of AOD. The RACGP has expanded the program to respond to the needs of GPs as a result of COVID-19.
