Be prepared for a disaster or emergency with fully subsidised ERPT for general practice
Gold Coast Primary Health Network is providing funded access to the Emergency Response Planning Tool (ERPT) for general practices from 8 May 2024 with limited spaces available.
What is the ERPT?
The ERPT is an online tool that assists general practices to develop an individually tailored emergency response plan, providing a roadmap to better prepare for, respond to and recover from the impacts of emergencies and pandemics. It includes key planning templates such as risk assessment and business continuity.
EOI: Fully subsidised ERPT for general practices
Each participating general practice will receive a fully subsidised 12-month subscription to the ERPT in 2024/25 and support from Healthpoint ANZ to start planning and complete an emergency response plan. This includes online webinars, personalised training and access to a help desk.
Having a complete and up to date plan will ensure your practice has contingency measures in place to help your practice re-establish as soon as possible following emergency events like natural disasters including bushfires, floods, severe storms, earthquakes and landslides.
RACGP Standards for accreditation
The RACGP Standards for general practices (5th edition) require practices to have a contingency plan for adverse and unexpected events such as natural disasters, pandemic diseases or the sudden, unexpected absence of clinical staff (refer to Criterion C3.3).
The ERPT is one way that general practices can meet Criterion C3.3. The ERPT complies with 5th edition of the Standards.
