Understanding the stepped system of care for eating disorders.
The stepped system of care for eating disorders refers to a full continuum of coordinated, effective, evidence-based services and supports, which are matched to a person’s needs, and increase or decrease in intensity according to the person’s changing psychological, physical, nutritional, and psychosocial needs. Progression along the continuum is not linear, and a person may require recurrent episodes of treatment and support, at different levels in the stepped system of care and from different services providers.

It is for people who care about, and are responsible for, improving Australia’s response to eating disorders. We warmly invite you to attend the launch to find out more about your role in activating the National Strategy.
