Advances in blood biomarkers are transforming Alzheimer’s disease detection and management, with important implications for primary care. As diagnostic approaches evolve, General Practitioners play a critical role in recognising early cognitive changes, guiding appropriate investigation, and supporting patients through emerging pathways of care.
Join expert speakers Dr Karen Savery and Dr Pete Silberberg from Dementia Training Australia for an insightful and practical session exploring the latest developments in Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis. The session will clarify the differences between normal cognitive ageing, mild cognitive impairment and dementia, while examining how biomarkers may support earlier and more accurate assessment.
Through real-world primary care scenarios, this session will equip GPs with practical, up-to-date knowledge to support clinical decision-making and prepare for the evolving future of dementia diagnosis and treatment.
