This seminar is provided based on numerous requests by Nurse Practitioners to fill the gap in face-to-face education in advanced clinical skills. It will also explore the challenging situations that Nurse Practitioners face in their unique roles. This seminar will provide the Nurse Practitioner advanced Nurse / Midwife with skills to flourish in their role, which includes essential assessment skills and communication skills to manage challenging situations.
The content of this unique seminar will more than meet the needs of the Nurse Practitioner and the advanced clinician. The content varies from understanding the basics of ECG interpretation to accurately reading a 12-lead ECG and recognising an acute myocardial infarction. Additionally, attendees will gain knowledge on performing physical assessment skills, which are required for advanced nursing practice. These advanced physical assessment skills, such as cardiac and respiratory auscultation, will be explored, and this knowledge will be linked to the interpretation of a chest x-ray.
