An event designed to help our community get prepared for emergencies.
Looking for something different (and useful!) to do these school holidays? Bring the family along to the Prep Your Kit Workshop at Varsity Lakes Community Resource Centre for an afternoon of food, fun, and practical activities. Lots of great free resources!!
Start with a sausage sizzle thanks to the Robina Lions Club, then dive into our hands-on stations where you can build your own emergency kit together. Kids will love the Red Cross Pillowcase Workshop a creative way to learn about being prepared, while decorating a pillowcase to take home. Parents can pick up handy tips too, with local experts sharing bite-sized advice on everything from car checks to storm safety.
It’s a relaxed community event where you’ll enjoy time together, meet friendly faces, and walk away with useful skills and resources for your family.
