Autism in females is frequently under-recognised or identified later in life due to differences in presentation compared to traditional diagnostic models. This webinar aims to support health professionals to better recognise autism in females and consider it within differential diagnosis.
Presented by Chantelle Pin (Clinical Psychologist), the session will explore common female presentations of autism, including masking and camouflaging behaviours, internalised traits, sensory differences, and associated mental health presentations such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and burnout. The webinar will also highlight clinical considerations and referral pathways to support timely and appropriate assessment.
This session is relevant for GPs, psychologists, allied health professionals, practice nurses, and other health practitioners working with adolescents and adults.
