Tweed Day Surgery invites Optometrists and GPs to join us for an evening of informal rotational dinner discussions. Bring along your challenging case studies for interactive discussions and collaborative learning. The evening includes a three-course educational dinner and refreshments.

Topics covered:

Pterygium and Ocular Surface Tumours: How to identify and differentiate between pterygium and ocular surface tumours, understanding their clinical features, risk factors, and when to refer.
Cataract Surgery – Aiming for optimal outcomes in Cataract patients: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the latest refractive intraocular lenses (IOL) available for vision correction, including patient selection criteria, pre-operative evaluations, and potential risks and benefits.
Oculoplastics – Blepharoplasty and Ptosis: Attendees will learn about the surgical procedures for blepharoplasty and ptosis correction, including patient assessment, surgical techniques, and post-operative care. They will also understand the functional and aesthetic outcomes of these procedures.
Flashes and Floaters / Macular diseases / Pterguim: Attendees will learn about flashes and floaters, common causes of macular diseases and their urgency, and when a pterygium needs to be referred or can be managed with lubricants.
