Immunisations have a vital role in preventing the spread of infectious diseases and protecting individuals from serious health complications. It is important to maintain high levels of vaccination coverage in Australia to ensure herd immunity within populations and reduce the overall healthcare burden by preventing illnesses and outbreaks before they occur.

Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) invite Gold Coast general practice nurses to an educational and networking session for the annual GCPHN Immunisation Update.

Topics include:

• A recap of the Gold Coast Winter season, focusing on RSV and Influenza trends.
• Practical tips for maximising the use of the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) including delegation access, AIR reports, overseas vaccinations, reporting for patients not enrolled in Medicare, update encounter functions and medical updates.
• Insights into GCPHN’s innovative immunisation promotion initiatives.
• Shared experiences from 2024 Nurse Immunisation Scholarship recipients.
