A rare GP opportunity in the beautiful southern Gold Coast. Currumbin Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Practitioner to join our friendly and professional team.

You will provide high quality, comprehensive primary care services to patients in the Currumbin, Queensland community. This role is well suited to a GP who values collaborative practice, patient-centered care, and flexibility in their working arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine health assessments and provide diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of a broad range of medical conditions
• Develop and implement personalised treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, holistic care
• Maintain accurate, detailed and compliant patient records

About you

• Fully registered medical practitioner with valid AHPRA registration
• General Practitioner experience, preferably within a primary care setting
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with a patient-focused approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Group Therapist

Advanced Breast Cancer Group (ABCG)

The Advanced Breast Cancer Group (ABCG) is a statewide service, funded by Queensland Health, providing quality psychosocial support to women living with metastatic breast cancer, through the weekly group, as well as support for partners and families of these women through our twice-yearly workshop program.

ABCG is seeking a Group Therapist to co-facilitate our weekly psychosocial support group for women living with metastatic breast cancer in Queensland.

Experienced health professionals including psychologists, social workers, counsellors, nurses or other allied health professionals with a background in
group work, oncology, mental health and health service delivery are preferred.

Fortnightly clinical supervision with an experienced external supervisor is provided by ABCG.

This is a part time contracted position for 6 hours per week, payable on a fee for service basis at the rate of $150 per hour for a maximum of 46 weeks per annum. Applicants from regional Queensland will be considered as the weekly group is delivered by videoconference. You would be working with an experienced co-facilitator, Executive Director and support team who assist with marketing and communications, website/IT, administration and the workshop program.

ABCG fills a significant gap in psychosocial support for these women – women who want to know how other women cope with the diagnosis and support to live with the uncertainty of an incurable disease.
