Connected and Prepared (CaP) is a community action plan session delivered by Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) and Brisbane South Primary Health Network (BSPHN) to help individuals and communities prepare for their health needs during an emergency or disaster.
The session guides participants through practical steps to improve preparedness, build confidence, and strengthen resilience before, during and after an emergency event.
Connected and Prepared focuses on understanding personal health needs, creating emergency action plans, identifying support networks, preparing important information and medications, and helping communities stay connected during times of crisis.
Connected and Prepared workshops help individuals, families and communities build confidence and resilience before, during and after emergencies.
Delivered in a practical and person-centred format, the workshops guide participants through a simple 4-step preparedness process focused on planning, connection and support.
Workshops can be delivered to community groups, multicultural communities, seniors groups, disability support groups, carers, local residents and service providers.
Our experienced facilitators create a welcoming and inclusive environment, with assistance readily available throughout each session if required.
Connected and Prepared (CaP) workshops and support are available to assist community members, carers, service providers and organisations in building disaster preparedness and resilience. Our sessions are designed to provide practical, easy-to-follow information and resources that can be used to support everyday preparedness planning before, during and after emergencies.
These Events are both held by GCPHN and BSPHN.
