An electronic prescription is a digital version of a paper prescription. They are a safe and convenient alternative to paper prescriptions. You can choose to receive an electronic prescription from your healthcare provider when you need a prescription, or you can request for it to be sent to you Active Script List.
An electronic prescription is sent to your mobile phone or email and contains a link to a prescription token. The token is required for each medicine that your doctor prescribes. This means you will receive a separate message from your doctor for each medicine that you need. If you have repeat prescriptions, your pharmacy will send you a new electronic prescription token for your next repeat. Each electronic prescription token can only be used once.
