Disaster financial assistance

Disaster financial assistance is available to eligible residents affected by the severe storms and rainfall on the Gold Coast and Scenic Rim. Learn more about guidelines and eligibility, and how to apply for a grant or assistance below:

  • Business loans to assist primary producers, small businesses and non-profit organisations with re-establishing normal operations. Refer to additional information about disaster assistance for small businesses and primary producers.
  • Personal hardship assistance including grants to assist with:
    • Emergency Hardship for help with essential needs such as food, medication, clothing and temporary accommodation
    • Essential Services Hardship for help with loss of essential services such as power, gas, water and sewage
    • Essential Household Contents to replace lost household contents such as bed linen and white goods
    • Essential Services Safety and Reconnection for safety inspection and repairs to reconnect essential services e.g. gas, water, electricity and sewage
    • Structural Assistance to help with structural repairs or contribution towards replacement of dwelling
  • Housing assistance for Gold Coast residents such as finding temporary accommodation, mortgage relief loans, rental bond loan, home repairs, and more.
