Older Australians who have contributed so much to our society rightly expect to be well supported in their frailer years.
That’s why the Australian Government is developing a new in-home aged care program, set to commence 1 July 2024.
The revised in-home program aims to:
Be simpler to access and understand, with one assessment process.
Give people more timely access to the safe and high-quality services they need.
Give people real choice and control in determining the services they receive.
Have fair and transparent fees that direct funds to delivering high-quality care.
Want to help? The Department of Health and Aged Care has prepared a discussion paper to seek your feedback on reforms to the in-home aged care system. View here.
You can have your say using the online form or by calling 1800 318 209. Submissions are now open until 25 November 2022.
