We are pleased to announce Wesley Mission Queensland as the successful tenderer for two new mental health and wellbeing service streams launching in early 2023.
These streams are designed to assist people requiring a moderate level of support with their mental health and wellbeing, with each targeting a specific cohort. The first stream will provide support to adults (16 years +) experiencing situational distress, with the second stream to provide support to those (12-65 years) who identify with the LGBTIQAP+ community and/or are gender questioning.
For both streams, participants will be empowered through contact with a wellbeing consultant, alongside receiving psychological supports, and have the option to attend a combination of group and individual sessions. More information will be provided regarding access to these new streams as parties work through the establishment phase.
The Supporting Minds RFP was the result of an extensive review and re-design process of the Psychological Services Program (PSP). The PSP review included extensive research, analysis, and engagement with the Gold Coast service sector, Government partners and our Lived Experience representatives. We would like to thank everyone who has participated in this valuable process.
Further work will be undertaken to design an appropriate solution for Indigenous Children in out of home care who were also identified as a priority population during the review.
