The Gold Coast Community Support is a flexible 8-week program that provides non-clinical emotional, practical and coaching support.
DESCRIPTION
People 16+ in the Gold Coast community at risk of suicide. Support Facilitators will work with clients to find and access services, create a plan to stay safe in moments of distress, and develop coping skills.
This service is for people aged 16+ in the Gold Coast community experiencing situational distress, is not in contact
with mental health service system, and one or more adverse ‘life events’ including but not limited to:
relationship separation
financial problems
bereavement
family conflict
chronic health condition
work/school problem
pending legal matter
unemployment
housing insecurity
past trauma
ACCESS AND REFERRALS
Referrals can only be made via Gold Coast Community Organisations. This service is included here for GP and health professional awareness.
