GPEX National Bowel Cancer Screening Training Opportunity – EOI
Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) invites Gold Coast GPs to express their interest in a fully funded training opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP) and bowel cancer. There are 15 places available.
GPs can complete 6 CPD hours (Educational Activities) of their own choosing from the GPEX NBCSP online CPD course catalogue, which includes a range of core and elective modules, and recorded webinars. Topics cover population screening, patient engagement, risk and surveillance, colonoscopy pathways, and survivorship care – designed to support everyday clinical practice.
Upon receipt of proof of completion (via certificates supplied by GPEX), GPs will receive a $500 payment.
Eligibility
GPs located within the GCPHN catchment area with an interest in bowel screening are encouraged to apply.
GPs must have the capacity to complete the 6 CPD hours from the course catalogue by the 15th of May 2026.
Certificates of completion must be submitted to GCPHN access the payment.
Eligible CPD content
GPs may select any combination of CPD activities from the GPEX NBCSP learning platform, including:
Core modules of bowel cancer screening and population data.
Elective modules focused on colonoscopy, patient engagement, risk and surveillance.
Webinar recordings on NCSR use, issuing kits in practice, and addressing screening hesitancy.
