Care is everyone’s business. When serious illness, caring responsibilities, dying or grief enters someone’s life, the world doesn’t pause. It speeds up. And too often, people are left doing too much, without enough support, for too long. A Compassionate Community is a simple but powerful idea: Care is not only a medical task, it’s a community responsibility.
This welcoming, story-led virtual information session will introduce the Compassionate Communities approach and share what we’re building together on the Gold Coast. You’ll hear lived experience stories, learn what Compassionate Communities is (and isn’t), and explore practical ways we can strengthen support for people across:

Across the Gold Coast, more people are experiencing isolation, systems are stretched, and caring roles are heavier than ever.
