Lecturer (Level B) – The Lecturer in Clinical Education (General Practice and Primary Health Care) is expected to carry out activities to maintain and develop scholarly, research and/or professional activities relevant to the discipline of medicine. This position will provide high quality teaching, assessment and curriculum development, and engage in scholarly research, with a particular focus on General Practice and Primary Care. Senior Lecturer (Level C) – The Senior Lecturer in Clinical Education (General Practice and Primary Health Care) is expected to make significant contributions to the teaching efforts of the School of Medicine and Dentistry, in particular, relating to the medical program. This position will play a major role in scholarship, research and/or professional activities. A Senior Lecturer is expected to make independent and original contributions to scholarship research which have impact on the field of expertise. The role forms part of an academic team that oversees the learning and assessment of medical students and contributes to the development and delivery of relevant aspects of the curriculum in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program that relate primarily to general practice and primary care. This position offers a unique opportunity for a clinically qualified academic or General Practitioner to establish a career in medical education. This is a part-time (0.5FTE), continuing position based at the Gold Coast campus of Griffith University. While the position is primarily based at the Gold Coast, Griffith is a multi-campus institution and as such there may be an infrequent requirement for the successful candidate to travel to other sites/campuses where the medical program is delivered. Salary Range The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Senior Lecturer (Level C) range $138,702 – $159,936 per annum + 17% superannuation.
