Accessing and uploading to My Health Record (MHR) is more important now than ever

MHR provides easy access to COVID test results and immunisation status as well as a summary of patient’s critical clinical information and details of any hospital care

As more and more people are seeking to consult a range of healthcare providers during the current COVID-19 situation in Queensland, the ‘COVID-19 vaccination dashboard’ in My Health Record can be of assistance to GPs as it brings together information about a patients COVID-19 vaccinations, test results uploaded and related health information.

Pathology and diagnostic tests are now also being uploaded to My Health Record by most local providers meaning time is saved by reducing the need to chase results from other healthcare providers or duplicating tests.

There are a range of opportunities for GPs to create or update a shared health summary, including:

  • During a Health Assessment
  • GP Management Plan
  • Flu or other vaccination
  • Child health check
  • Changes in medication
