Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) has been supporting general practices across the Gold Coast by funding licences for the Emergency Response Planning Tool (ERPT), helping practices strengthen their disaster preparedness and response planning. The ERPT is a cloud-based platform designed to help general practices prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies such as pandemics, power outages, IT disruptions and other critical incidents. By entering key operational information, practices can generate a tailored emergency response plan that supports staff safety, business continuity and faster recovery following disruptive events.
Practices that currently hold ERPT licences are encouraged to continue using them through to June 2026, ensuring they maximise the benefit of the funding provided by GCPHN.
Practices that have access but have not yet begun using the tool are strongly encouraged to start utilising it.
Developing and maintaining an up-to-date emergency response plan is a valuable investment in the resilience of your practice and the continuity of care for your patients.
If you require support setting up or using the ERPT, assistance is available through GCPHN. Practices that find the tool valuable are also encouraged to consider self-funding their licence after June 2026 to continue benefiting from the platform. GCPHN will remain available to support practices with disaster preparedness planning beyond this period.
