As we reflect on recent achievements and look ahead to the future, we’re excited to share some key updates from the General Practice Gold Coast (GPGC). Your ongoing support continues to empower us in our mission to support and strengthen the GP community.
We’re pleased to announce the adoption of a new constitution, designed to better align our governance structure with GPGC’s mission and goals. This marks a significant step forward, ensuring our organisation operates with transparency, efficiency, and a strong commitment to supporting GPs.
Dr. Jamie-Lea Whyte will be stepping into the role of Chair, with Dr. Kristy Bayliss taking on the position of Co-Chair.
Dr. Jamie-Lea Whyte brings a wealth of experience and vision to the Chair role, ensuring the ongoing growth and success of GPGC. Dr. Kristy Bayliss will complement this leadership as Co-Chair, continuing to drive our key initiatives and advocate for our members’ needs. Together, they will build on the strong foundations laid by the current leadership team.
I would also like to take this moment to thank Dr Luke Ward, who has recently resigned from GPGC role as treasurer for all his unwavering enthusiasm and support.
Our recent Trivia Night was a fantastic success. Thank you to everyone who joined us for an evening of fun, laughter, and networking. Events like these highlight the sense of community and camaraderie that make GPGC special.
We’re thrilled to share that our first podcast episode has been released, offering valuable insights into general practice topics. Additionally, our inaugural webinar marked a milestone in providing accessible professional development opportunities for our members.
At the heart of GPGC is our unwavering commitment to supporting GPs on the ground. Through initiatives like peer support events, educational programs, and community-building activities, we remain dedicated to fostering a resilient and informed GP network.
