The General Practice in Aged Care Incentive, launched on 1 July 2024, was created to address key challenges highlighted by the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. The Royal Commission’s Final Report emphasised the need for a new model of primary care to provide holistic, coordinated, and proactive health care for people in aged care.
