We offer a range of QI support to general practices in our region where they can choose either self-paced quality improvement (where practice staff identify their own focus area utilising existing resources) or participation in a facilitated quality improvement activity on a specific topic as identified by GCPHN.
GCPHN facilitated QI activities provide:
In-practice support to guide you through whole-of-practice quality improvement activity
RACGP approved clinical audit for GPs to complete on the same topic providing relevant CPD hours
Support to complete the QI action plan which can also be used as evidence for the PIP QI payment and accreditation.
Primary Sense training (population management and clinical audit tool) if required.
Ongoing support throughout the activity duration from a dedicated Project Officer.
Opportunities to showcase your activities and be recognised as improvement leaders.
Some recent QI activities GCPHN have facilitated include:
Cervical Screening
Influenza Immunisation – further information available here
Childhood Immunisations – further information available here
Healthy Ageing and Frailty – further information available here
We also have a range of self-paced quality improvement activities covering a variety of topics, which overall will improve patient outcomes and deliver best practice care. Your practice can work through these independently.
