In 2021 to ensure the ongoing viability of Primary Sense and due to national interest across PHNs the decision was made to transition further development and management of Primary Sense to Western Australia Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA). As the lead agent for Primary Health Insights (the highly secure data storage and analytics platform that supports the security and privacy of population health data shared with PHNs) WAPHA are well placed to lead this work.
WAPHA have now completed an upgrade of Primary Sense, and over the next few weeks Gold Coast PHN staff will work with general practice staff and their IT providers to manually apply the update.
GCPHN staff will continue to provide dedicated helpdesk support and training for Gold Coast general practices using Primary Sense.
For practices that installed Primary Sense prior to 2022, it’s requested that you provide contact details of your usual IT provider to support the upgrade to ensure you have access to the new features and benefits.
No action required for practices that installed Primary Sense from January 2022 onwards, unless you have changed IT provider. If this has occurred, please also complete the survey, accessed from the above link.
GCPHN will communicate the next steps to update Primary Sense soon.
Please direct any questions regarding the update to the Primary Sense team Phone: (07) 5612 5476 or Email: primarysense@gcphn.com.au
