Help shape the Gold Coast’s Joint Regional Older Persons Strategy

Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN), Gold Coast Health, Queensland Ambulance Service and Kalwun are working together to develop a Joint Regional Older Persons Strategy (JROPS) – a shared plan to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for older people in the Gold Coast region.

The JROPS will outline a clear, collaborative roadmap for better service integration across primary care, aged care, hospital services and community support, ensuring older people receive coordinated, equitable and person-centred care.

To help shape this work, Impact Co. has been engaged to lead stakeholder engagement and strategic planning. Local general practices, nurses and primary care teams are invited to participate in one of three Stakeholder Workshops to share insights, challenges and opportunities for improving care and coordination for older people.

Workshop details

• Friday 24 October (9 am – 12 pm) – Online via Microsoft Teams
• Thursday 30 October (9 am – 12 pm) – In person at GCPHN, Robina
• Thursday 30 October (1 pm – 4 pm) – Online via Microsoft Teams

Each 3-hour workshop will explore:

• Opportunities to strengthen service integration across five key areas – healthy ageing, managing increased needs at home, acute care, residential aged care, and palliative and end of life care
• Local solutions, enablers and partnerships that can support the successful implementation of the JROPS over the coming years
