Supporting Minds is a mental health service that provides up to three months of moderate intensity structured psychological (clinical) supports and group-based support.
The Supporting Minds service provides:
Up to three months of one-on-one structured psychological therapy using evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Insight-Oriented Therapy, Supportive psychotherapy, Interpersonal psychotherapy, and Narrative Therapy.
Needs identification and care planning.
An assigned care coordinator throughout service contact duration.
Peer support.
Encouragement and guidance to access digital resources.
Exit and transition planning which includes referral back to GP with support letter.
Linkage to additional supports in the community and/or specific health related services, if required.
Who is eligible for Supporting Minds?
Live in the Gold Coast Region
All adults (16 years – 65 years) experiencing situational distress. This can include (but is not limited to) people: at risk of homelessness, experiencing domestic violence issues, facing legal issues, in significant financial hardship, experiencing relationship issues, or social isolation.
How do you access Supporting Minds?
This service accepts referrals from any source, including GPs, community organisations, clinicians, allied health and self-referrals.
