General practices across Australia can now register for the Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program (BBPIP).
The BBPIP commenced on 1 November 2025, alongside expanded eligibility for Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) bulk billing incentives, which now apply to all Medicare-eligible patients.
BBPIP provides an additional quarterly 12.5% incentive payment on MBS benefits paid from eligible bulk billed services, split 50/50 between the GP and the practice.
A calculator is available to help GPs and practice managers estimate the financial benefits of adopting a bulk billing model and joining BBPIP.

The Bulk Billing Incentives Calculator helps practice managers and GPs estimate payments from MBS bulk billing incentives and the Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program.
