Heard of the 1800MEDICARE phone line and app?
The phone line connects you with a registered nurse who can provide advice and guidance, while the 1800MEDICARE app is designed for accessing, viewing, downloading and sharing your health information like test results, vaccination records and clinical documents. Together, they offer two different but complementary ways to get help and manage health information securely.
1800MEDICARE is a free 24/7 service where consumers can speak to a registered nurse about health concerns and be connected to the right care. Consumers can access 1800MEDICARE by calling 1800 633 422, visiting the website, or using the 1800MEDICARE app to access health information and advice. Consumers may be supported to self-manage, or guided to services such as a GP, pharmacy, urgent care clinic or the emergency department. After hours, eligible patients may also be offered a free GP telehealth consultation.
